Rain gardens
Suburbs like Aspendale, Chelsea and Edithvale (City of Kingston) realise the importance of their waterways as they so close to the beautiful Port Phillip Bay.
The Council is highlighting Raingardens to protect the bay from excess storm water carrying pollutants by featuring Raingardens in their public landscapes.
There is a pilot scheme with South East Water for Raingardens to be built at a special cost to these South East Water residents.
