Growing Unusual Vegetables

So many people are growing their own edible plants and there are some exotic ones around.

Taro is one of the root vegetables with most unappetizing looking brown skin but a very ornamental plant and edible. 

Water chestnuts and the Asian water spinach are others that can be grown in a big pot filled with water.
