Many parts of Victoria harbour fruit fly.
They are very damaging to crops and home gardens, vegetables, especially tomatoes.
Host plants for the larvae are stone fruits, loquats, citrus.
Anyone should contact Dept of Sustainability if maggot larvae are found.
