Cholesterol cures
The latest in cholesterol cures
We need cholesterol to produce hormones and bile acid, but too much cholesterol is a problem.
Try eating oats each day, because the beta glucan soluble fibre in oats binds to cholesterol in the food we eat, so it can’t be absorbed.
Start walking, because it’s free and it’s easy. Stress causes cholesterol levels to rise, so watch that this contribution to higher cholesterol levels is controlled appropriately.
Stay socially connected, and enjoy a glass of red wine, a few pieces of dark chocolate and a range of fruits and vegetables.
Go green with plant foods like grapes, apples, cocoa, tea and olive oil.
Always pick the good fats, especially the polyunsaturated fats in fish, which protect against heart disease and reduce the risk of heart attack.
And as well, laugh yourself silly, because that reduces bad cholesterol too.
