Ric wants to hear from you
You know sometimes, when I?m watching a movie or one of those Friday
night crime shows on the ABC , I drift off a little and suddenly
realise that I have no idea what?s going on.
I’m sure you know the feeling. Well I feel a bit like that at the moment. I am bewildered and very confused. What is an economic “meltdown”? Are we heading towards recession , depression or worse ?
I remember my old dad telling us years ago about the “Great Depression” and how “all they had to eat was potatoes and bread and dripping.”
Back then, when dad told us the story, it just seemed exactly that – a story. And when we worried that perhaps it might happen again in our lifetime, we were assured that the world had learnt from it’s mistakes. There were mechanisms in place to prevent such a thing happening ever again.
And now, in 2008 we hear daily news reports that the stockmarket has crashed again , the Aussie Dollar is at an all time low and our superannuation funds have all but dried up.
Yet everything around us seems as it should be. The sun still rises in the morning, my plastic card still works in the machine and my doctor has put a total ban on bread and dripping!
When will it end? When will it begin? Are you confused and bewildered like me? Or do you make sense of every episode of “Midsomer Murders”?
Drop us a line and let me know.

Hi Ric,
Your afternoon Program is the best.
You play great songs and you don't talk too much, although I really love your voice - and also you dont' play too many advertisements.
All the Melbourne FM AND AM radio stations, including 3XY Greek radio, all talk too much and too many advertisements.
My partner is Greek, he loves to come home around 4ish and listen to 3XY Greek radio, while he is cooking delicious yummy Greek food.
Yet, he gets really annoyed when all he hears is talk, talk, ads, ads and NO HAPPY SONGS.
SO HE IS NOW TUNING INTO Your Program and he loves your songs and he love MAGIC.
You and Magic 1278 are fantastic.
We are both grateful for Magic 1278.
Thank you and keep playing happy, cool songs.
Best wishes.

Great music, I've just found out that with my downlaod I can listen to magic again and not break the bank. The stations in Gippsland leave a lot to be desired. the only thing going for them, and now I don't need to worry is they run your news service
