Magic Good Friday Appeal 2010

Magic 1278 is a proud media partner of the annual Channel 7 Good Friday Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal.

It’s a long day but well worth it. We start our appeal broadcast at 6am from our regular studio, with the entire on-air team taking part. From 4-6pm Ric Ditchburn and Caroline Ferguson move to our outside broadcast studio in the Channel 7 studio at Etihad Stadium, to really get amongst it. And then Peter Van goes through to midnight back in our regular studio.

During the day we conduct countless interviews with those associated with the hospital, people out fundraising, and the families of those who have directly benefited from the wonderful services at the RCH.

We also play requests in exchange for donations to the appeal, and thank to all those fabulous Magic 1278 listeners who took part.

I love your music, but your adds, I know that is the way the station gets paid, but I am over 60, and nearly every add, is funerals, eye degeneration, cataracts, and the rest, how about spacing these adds so some joyful things can be said, and may be where oldies can go to have fun in the suburbs. that don't cost a lot of money. keep up the great songs, and yes my husband has brought me a digit radio for my birthday which I don't have yet, waiting is hard. thankyou for the songs
