A salute to our Aussie heroes

ANZAC Day, a day of Australian pride, and probably Australia’s most important national occasion.  ANZAC DAY is the special day that marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by New Zealand and Australian forces in World War One.

As ANZAC DAY approaches on 25 April, we remember these courageous Aussie men and women who took part in various conflicts throughout the twentieth century, right through to today.

To commemorate our heroes, we encourage you to share your ANZAC DAY story, dedicate a message to these special Australians (both fallen and serving), post your personal memory or more... What it means to you to be a proud Australian!

Supported by VB, Last Year’s Raise a Glass Appeal raised over one million dollars, and that total has already been exceeded in 2010. This money is raised to support Australian serving and ex-service men and women, and their families.

The Raise A Glass Appeal returns this April, continuing VB’s partnership Legacy and the RSL in support of the defence force community.  All funds raised go towards significantly bolstering the welfare programs of Legacy and the RSL.

Lest We Forget.

Blog comments Your Say

  • We should never forget the sacrifices made, not only of those who served overseas, but of those who served at home - My mum drove Army trucks so that others could serve overseas, My dad ran messages from shore to ship and back in the navy let's not loose sight of these forgotten heroes
