Living a heart-healthy lifestyle not only protects your heart, it can also delay and even prevent Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Eating a healthy diet, getting plenty of exercise, staying mentally active, managing your stress levels, getting a good night’s sleep, and enjoying an active social life, are six key aspects of this strategy.

Alzheimer’s has the same three risk factors as heart disease. These are obesity, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

In fact, if you have a combination of all three of these risk factors and do nothing about it, as you age you’ll be increasing your chances of Alzheimer’s by a whopping six times.

It’s never too early or too late to start!
